At AberNecessities, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our goal is to provide support and essential items to local children and families facing extreme hardship. .
Since launching in March 2019, AberNecessities has helped over 18,000 children across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. To us that means, over 18,000 full tummies, over 18,000 pairs of cosy hands and feet and over 18,000 smiles.

International Woman’s Day
In 2023, AberNecessities was honoured that Save the Children UK chose our Founder, Danielle, as one of their “cost of living champions” for refusing to ignore the consequences of declining incomes across the UK. They believe, as do we, that Danielle has demonstrated the transformative power of women in difficult times.
AberNecessities is a proudly female-led organisation which brings together the local community to support families facing extreme financial hardship and we are determined to succeed in our work for change - because No Child Should Go Without.

When we look at our children, we need to empower each other and make each other feel good about the fact that we've brought another life into the world.
