YOUR ROLE

Our dedicated volunteers will play a vital role in making this campaign a success. Here’s how you can help:

  • Packing Christmas Eve Boxes: Help create festive boxes filled with essentials and curated gifts for families. It’s all about adding that sprinkle of magic and wonder to each package, making every child feel special!

  • Moving and Unloading Stock: Assist with receiving and organising donations to ensure everything is ready for distribution.

  • Tidying Up: Keep the workspace clean and organised at the end of the day, preparing for the next group of volunteers. While this is a beautiful campaign to support, we also graft—so roll up your sleeves, folks!

  • Driving Opportunities: If you’d like to assist with deliveries, we have opportunities available! To participate, you’ll need to complete a driving license check at home and bring proof with you. Please note that this does not guarantee driving opportunities and is subject to availability.

Note: We cannot accept pre-loved items for our Christmas initiative. All donations must be new. After all, just like Santa, we believe in bringing only new things to every child to ensure their Christmas is truly magical!

VOLUNTEERING ESSENTIALS

  • Cafe On-Site: Enjoy a break with refreshments available at the café during your volunteering shift! Both cash and card are accepted.

  • Parking: Available for just £1 an hour. We encourage car-sharing where possible to reduce congestion and our environmental footprint.

  • Advance Booking: All volunteering must be booked in advance. Please contact our team regarding availability. Karen@abernecessities.co.uk

  • Union Point, Blaikie's Quay, Aberdeen, AB11 5PW

  • AberNecessities will be operating on the 2nd Floor.

  • Opening Hours: We are open Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 3.30PM.
